Another Vintage Postcard from Miyajima

Once again, this postcard of Miyajima Island, Japan, was sent to Mr Walter H Morris of Crows Nest Sydney, from M. Agata, Japan.
The front is postmarked 8.10.20, the back is postmarked 21.10.19, so the actual date of posting is unclear.
(and now that I look more closely, the other postcards are similarly puzzling with their date stamps, perhaps they are a mix of Japanese and Western dates?).

The view is of the vermillion pagoda and the enourmous Senjokaku (hall of a thousand tatami), part of the Hokoko-jinja shrine begun by warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi (1536-1598) and left forever unfinished when he died.

The last image was taken 90 years after the original postcard was sent (and 411 years after Hideyoshi's demise).
A slightly different angle to the postcard view, this photo was taken on approach to the island onboard the JR ferry from Miyajima-guchi.
